Why do we insist on getting ourselves into discomfited situations? Yes this is supposed to be a season to be jolly, but what about when the season is over? Where are we gonna find the money to pay back the loans we made to buy the things that satisfy our fleshly desires?
This is a season of thankfulness to God for what He has done for us throughout the year. Let this be a time of thankfulness and not turn it into a "Silly Season".
