Do they see the "Light"

Im sitting on a bench in a local supermarket(Pick n Pay) watching the people as they are standing in the isles. Many of them are looking at me and Im thinking, what do they see?Do they see the light? The light of Jesus in me.The light I speak about, the light I proclaim I follow.Am I representing Jesus Christ to the world. When you look at me,what do you see? JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

God's "power" revealed on "earth".

Theres a scripture that sais,"The earth is waiting for the revelation of the sons of God",this is exactly what is happening all over the world as people young and old are pushing purity in Christ Jesus. We as a God fearing nation are calling on the Holy spirit to posses our bodies as we want the will of God to be done on this earth. We need you God

Mannenberg (part1)

A war has broken out between the HL's and the Americans two of South Africa's biggest gangs.Im starting to hate the fact more and more that people view this type of lifestyle as a norm in the community I come from.Especially the slum erea's.I just came from a meeting with local government at a primary school in mannenberg,it went about substance prevention on a primary level.

Transformed by a new mind

I no more desire to be conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of my mind. That is a bible scripture that I find very filling in this time of my life.As my desire is to do the will of my Father in heaven and of my Lord Jesus Christ. The last couple of months the thought came to me,what can God do with my life if I should surrender my life 100% to Him(JESUS)

Bringing to light that which is in darkness

As long as evil stays hidden,it breeds and multiplies.Through my blogs,Im hoping to get the attention of intercessors rite across the world,as I serve a God who does answer prayer. So please dont see my blogs as me seeing the negatives of a society. But see what Im trying to show you.If we as a human race dont accept Jesus Christ as our personal saviour, then "hell" is our future.

Life in Kewtown (the End)

I pray for the salvation of every drug user, gangster and drug boss.Monday morning while driving thru the "Blokke" once again,I was forced to turn around by the police barracades in the road because of a gang shooting that has just taken place.A war is brewing and I no what it is to be in a war.Theres always an innocent victim that pays. You might think gang violence does not effect you.Think again!

Life in Kewtown (part2)

As the police men are surrounding this house, the situation looks very serious, yet the neighbors and the people in the vicinity seems that they couldnt care less about what was taken place as if it is the norm. That was the sad part. How could police pointing guns at you because you are a threat to communities be viewed as a way of life. What will happen to the future generation if we stop caring.

Life in Kewtown (Part 1)

Last friday morning a police van rushed pass me while I was driving through Kewtown an erea in the Athlone district(Cape Town). The blokke,a slang for flats, seems to be the devils playground. As Im approaching "blok2" armed policeman with drawn guns are ready to enter a house with force but what messes me up is the fact that the police is being resisted by a 12 year old kid who is part of a gang. The kid that was resisting the police is the youngster in the window

Honouring The senior’s:

Friday The seniors, were spoilt to a lovely day of pampering and honouring.

Impact Direct and Social Development came together and hosted the HONOURING of the senior’s, honouring off the senior’s is very important to Impact Direct.

The day consisted a heart wrenching talk on Dementia, done by Bobby Judzen of Dementia SA, who’s wife also suffers from a form of Dementia.

The day ended with the pampering of the senior’s feet and hands as well as checking of the blood pressure and weight.

St Luke’s Hospice visit’s Impact Direct:

Today impact Direct was blessed with a visit from a spokesperson from St Luke’s, Eleanor Ruiters who has worked for St Luke’s for 10 years.

She spoke about the myth’s that come with St Luke’s, some people think that when you go to St Luke’s you going there to die.

“You draw strength from the patient’s, who still has that zest for life, who still not giving up on life” Eleanor said.

St Luke’s Hospice provides palliative care
to people who are approaching the end of their lives. A team of skilled professional staff
and volunteers improves the quality of life of these patients through early identification, impeccable assessment and treatment of
pain and the other physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the patients and their families. This is given, irrespective of the
patient’s ability to pay for the service."

St Luke's started working in the in patient care field in 1982. At this time the St Luke's Hospice offices were situated at the Vincent Palotti Hospital in Pinelands. Then they were moved to a home in Trill Road Observatory but it became obvious that the premises were too small and with the help of the Lombardi Family Trust in 1985 the present Kenilworth property was acquired.

“I enjoyed the talk, and learnt a lot about St Luke’s, learning that it‘s not always when you going to die that you need to go there. I don’t need to give up on life, but be positive an d live life to the fullest” a senior said.
