You can’t be truly wise on your own; you need God’s wisdom. You can’t be truly good or honest or peace loving on your own without being changed from the inside. You were born with a sinful nature a desire and tendency to sin and do wrong. When you ask God to change your life, his Spirit lives in you and help you overcome your sinful desires. You can be good and honest and peace loving because the Spirit is living in you
