Faith is not simply a matter of positive thinking or human effort. Faith is inspired by the Holy Spirit working through the Word of God to transform the way you think and act. When you absorb God’s Word into your mind and heart, it becomes part of you. Your faith will the strengthen as you read the Bible and reflect on its words about who God is his guidelines for living, and how he wants to work on earth through you. God’s gift of faith grows as you read how God has worked through people across the centuries and then realize that he will do the same in you.
