I am attending the Street People Conference at the Good Hope Center in Cape Town today and tomorrow.

I am attending the conference in the capacity of Chairperson of Athlone Local Drug Action Committee.

It is quite a full day planned till 16h:30. Should be interesting...

I,m on my way to a conference and travelling in a mini bus taxi.It's been quite some time since i have travelled by public transport and man i did not miss it one bit.I pray and trust that GOD is going to bless me with my own vehicle to go to meetings with.When i have my own car,i can listen to the music(gopsel of course) i want to listen too.The music is so loud and ungodly in the taxi.Thank you LORD for the car you are going to bless me with.

Today I got the surprise of my life.My sister contacted KFM radio via email,and told them of how proud she is of me and the good work I am doing in the community.KFM Then contacted the centre and spoke to Clinton and arranged with him that I be at the centre when they come.A lady by the name of MEL then came out do a interview with me.I was still laying in my room at the centre when she arrived.They told me that someone was here to see me.To my surprise she told me that she wanted to do a quick interview with me.She told me what my sister had done and how proud she is of me ad how she dont show it enough.She then handed me voucher for Ocean Basket worth R300.00 compliments of Kfm.I am naturally over the moon and just want to say:’’Thank you my sister for supporting me even though I use to put the family through hell in the past.This means so much to me and I love you so much.Thanx.Nicci.”

Now that Impact Direct Ministries is on everyone’s tongues, and everything that transpired on Friday, we are sure to have a busty week. We had a meeting last night where we put things into place for this coming week. The team will be out at C.M.E.S (City Mission Educational Services) this morning doing life skills and other activities with the learners. Clinton and I will be hitting the streets of Bridgetown to get feedback from the morning live interviews. We will be doing what they call; CITIZEN JOURNALISM.I am quite exited to hear what the communities thoughts are. We will have some video footage for you all later this afternoon. I pray that God will anoint the grounds we will walk on today .

Yes you read correctly, the name of Jesus was proclaimed on Morning Live to between 8 and 10 million viewers.

Today Brent, Craig and Monique boldly proclaimed the name of Jesus and let the whole of South Africa know that only Jesus Christ can set you completely free from your drug addiction, Jn 8:36 "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
The message that went out today was that we as human beings cannot help a drug addict, however we know the only solution and that is JESUS CHRIST.

I had the awesome God given opportunity to open the show with my testimony. I spoke about how when I was on drugs and sold drugs in the area, my life just spiraled downwards and out of control. And how I ended up at the centre looking for help and met Jesus Christ. I also spoke about how I just felt loved and accepted the very moment I walked into the Impact Centre. I felt a bit nervous and under pressure as 8-10 million people watch the show every morning, however this was an opportunity God gave me to proclaim the name of Jesus to millions out there. This past weekend we had an open air in the court(circle)where i live(WARBLER COURT)This is the same circle i sold drugs out of.When we got there to set up,there wasn't much people around.But as the music started to play,people came out of their houses to hear what God had done in all the young men,s lives.It was such a privilege to be speaking about JESUS and where he had brought me out of.This is the same people that really thought that there wasn,t hope for me.I could really see that they saw Jesus Christ in all of us.The one thing i testified about is that i will never ever backslide or relapse as i know who Jesus is and that He is faithful unto us.He will never leave us nor forsake us.In the one pick of myself and Dyllan is the house i use to sell drugs from.Dyllan is one of the young men that also testified,and it was his first time testifying as well.
I give God all the glory and the praise for what he has done in all our lives

Youth At Risk

Yesterday we went to two different schools on the Cape Flats.We went to encourage learners and make them more about the dangers of drugs.The first school we went to was Tafelsig High.We had about 70 pupils there.Earl Erasmus spoke to the learners about how important it is to ask the right questions.Earl led the session and were facilitating during the session.After that we went to a primary school in Hanover Park,Summit Primary.There we spoke about about the dangers of drugs and shared a bit of our testimonies.It is so important for us to go out and give back to the communities we once terrorized.We have to be there for the younger ones and teach and guide them.It could have been so different for us if we had positive role-models in our lives.
