FROM RASTAFARIAN TO A CHILD OF GOD
Yesterday a mother and grandmother brought their son into the centre for some counseling. I welcomed them in, made them some coffee and then had a chat with the young man alone. I soon discovered that he was part of the Rastafarian culture. Because in the rastafarian culture/religion they take things out of the bible, but use it out of context, it was difficult to minister/counsel this young man. However we have a young man by the name of Dylan with us at the centre that was also heavy into the Rastafarian culture before he accepted Jesus Christ into his live. I called him into the session and had him talk to the young man. He told him how he has also been deceived in the past(in the Rastafarian culture) and how Jesus set him free from drugs.Ater a lengthy talk and prayer the young man (the Rastafarian) gave his life to Christ. He will be coming to church on Sunday and to the centre on a daily basis for discipleship and further counseling.
God is so awesome and loves each and each one of us. The devil is out to deceive us and close our eyes to the truth. I pray that GOD will keep and protect him against the evil one.
Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is LORD
JOHN 1 vs. 12
Yet to all who received him,to those who believed in his name,he gave the right to become children of God
